(1)ニューヨークには見るところがたくさんあるので、2,3日でその全部を見て回るのはとても無理でしょう。

(解答)There are so many places to see in New York (City).  You cannot visit all of them in few days [i two or three days / in a couple days].

(2)通勤に自転車を使う人たちが増えた。子どもから高齢者まで手軽に乗れて、体に良いし、地球にも優しいからだろう。

(解答)The number of people commuting [who commute] (to work) by bicycle has increased, probably because people of all ages can ride one (readily / easily) and bicycle are good for their health as well as for the environment.

Futher Execise

 I strongly agree with this system.  It may be important for students to study at college, but it is much more important to experience various things around the world that they cannot learn at university.  A gap year will give them a wonderful chance to broaden their views.  When students graduate from college and get a job, they can hardly take a long vacation, especially in Japan.  I addition, students who know a lot about the world and have a broad view will do good work at college or in society.  (91語)
